About the Firm

At Hoogendoorn & Talbot LLP, we focus on helping individuals, families, businesses, and charities resolve their legal issues in a timely and efficient manner. With an emphasis on honesty, justice, and giving back to the community, we work with clients to expand their businesses, strengthen their families’ financial futures, and resolve conflicts.

Case Hoogendoorn and Earl Talbot founded the firm in 1985 by leaving their partnership at Kirkland & Ellis to form a Chicago law firm where they could forge close bonds with clients, serve families, dispense solid legal advice, and support charitable organizations. The founders’ clear ideal, to create and foster a firm where integrity and hard work are honored and valued, has guided the partnership for more than three decades.

Estate planning is crucial for families. We’re ready to act as your legal concierge, identifying ways to protect assets for your family and for future generations. In addition, our attorneys expertly help clients form businesses, navigate tax-saving issues, draft contracts of many varieties, litigate contentious disputes, and close real estate and business deals. If you have family law matters involving divorce, guardianship, custody, or adoption issues, our lawyers will provide discreet and practiced counsel. We also assist our clients in meeting their charitable goals.
